Sintered molybdenum crucibles are made primarily by evenly mixing molybdenum powder in the mold, placing it there, die-casting using the isostatic pressing process, then sintered at high temperature, followed by machining, and polishing the molybdenum crucible's outer and inner surfaces. This process is mainly used to produce large molybdenum crucibles.

 

Sintered molybdenum crucible or tungsten crucible is the most commonly used crucible in sapphire crystal growth furnace and quartz glass, rare earth smelting industry. Sintered molybdenum crucible consists of straight wall crucible, conical crucible and other shapes.
