Tungsten copper alloy is widely used in military, national defense, aerospace, aviation, navigation, electronic devices, medical equipment and other fields due to its excellent physical and chemical properties. Since tungsten and copper are two incompatible metals, copper-tungsten alloy combines the advantages of tungsten and copper, mainly in the advantages of small volume expansion coefficient, good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and high temperature resistance.

 

Application of Tungsten Copper Alloy


1. Tungsten copper electrode


Tungsten copper electrode has the advantages of good high temperature resistance, arc ablation resistance, high specific gravity, easy processing, etc. It is suitable for welding electrodes.

 

2. Tungsten copper alloy rod


It is a composite material refined by static pressure, high temperature sintering, and copper infiltration by utilizing the excellent metal properties of high-purity tungsten powder and the plasticity and high conductivity of high-purity copper powder. It has the characteristics of good arc breaking performance, high temperature non-softening, high strength and high hardness.

 

3. Tungsten copper electronic package


It combines the low expansion properties of tungsten with the high thermal conductivity of copper. It is worth noting that the properties of electronic packaging sheets can be changed by adjusting the ratio of constituent materials.

 

4. Tungsten copper tube

 

Widely used in cemented carbide and refractory metals. Since tungsten copper alloy is easy to process, the use of tungsten copper tube plays a great role when the surface needs to be easy to cut and the inner diameter is small.


5. Military high temperature materials


Copper-tungsten alloys are used in aerospace as nozzles for missiles and rocket engines, gas rudders, air rudders and nose cones. The main requirements are high temperature resistance (3000K~5000K) and high temperature resistance to airflow erosion. The cooling effect of sweat formed by volatilization of copper at high temperature (copper melting point 1083°C) is mainly used to reduce the surface temperature of tungsten copper to ensure its use under extreme high temperature conditions.
