The temperature differential between the glass liquid on each side of the forehearth and the central glass liquid can be eliminated if the molybdenum plate electrode is embedded in the refractory material of the side wall of the forehearth. At the same time, the contact area between the electrode plate surface and the glass liquid is large, the electric field distribution is uniform, the current density is small, and the heating is uniform, which can well improve the thermal uniformity and thermal stability of the glass liquid. However, plate electrodes are easily oxidized and difficult to install, thus greatly limiting their use. The characteristics of its T-shaped structure determine that the plate-shaped molybdenum electrode should be installed in a cold way. At the same time, in order to prevent the electrode from being baked in the kiln, certain protective measures should be taken for the electrode, such as wrapping the electrode with glass fiber cloth. The forehearth is covered with broken glass. At the same time, during the kiln baking process, the flame should be avoided for a long time, and the glass liquid should be introduced in a short time to cover all the electrodes. Only in this way can the electrodes not be oxidized.
