1. A description of the molybdenum crucible used in the quartz glass melting furnace:
The molybdenum crucible is made of Mo-1 molybdenum powder, and the operating temperature is 1100℃~1700℃. Mostly utilized in the machining, quartz glass, solar energy, rare earth, monocrystalline silicon, and metallurgical industries.
Types of molybdenum crucibles: sintered crucibles, machine crucibles, welded riveted crucibles.
2. Classification of Molybdenum Crucible For Quartz Glass Melting Furnace:
1.)Sintered Molybdenum Crucible
In order to create a sintered molybdenum crucible, molybdenum powder must first be mixed evenly in the mold, placed there, and die-cast using the isostatic pressing technique. The molybdenum crucible is then machined, and its outside and interior surfaces are polished. This process is mainly used to produce large molybdenum crucibles.
Sintered molybdenum crucible or tungsten crucible is the most commonly used crucible in sapphire crystal growth furnace and quartz glass, rare earth smelting industry. Sintered molybdenum crucible consists of straight wall crucible, conical crucible and other shapes.

2.)Machined Molybdenum crucible
Machined molybdenum crucible is made of forged molybdenum rods through lathe processing. It mainly uses flat drills to drill high-quality molybdenum rods through a drilling machine, and finally produces molybdenum crucibles. This method wastes a lot of molybdenum materials, so the cost is also high. However, the mechanical properties of the molybdenum tube of this process are better, and it mainly produces medium and small molybdenum crucibles.
The molybdenum crucible usually uses molybdenum powder as raw material, and is sintered after being formed by a cold and other precision press. After sintering, circulating water is used to cool the intermediate frequency sintering furnace for 9-10 hours. After that, the molybdenum rod is taken out and heated in a muffle furnace. Then take it out, use an air hammer with an impact force of 1000 kg, forge it 30-40 times, and then use the machining method to carve out the groove, and then finish turning the outer circle and end face, so that the surface roughness of the molybdenum crucible reaches Ra1.6 -Ra3.2μm, made of molybdenum crucible.

3.)Welding Molybdenum Crucible
Welding molybdenum crucible is made of molybdenum plate after forming and welding.Because the welding performance of molybdenum-lanthanum alloy is better than that of pure molybdenum, this type of crucible often uses high-temperature molybdenum plate. And the recrystallization temperature of molybdenum-lanthanum alloy crucible is higher, and the creep resistance is stronger.
