Molybdenum can withstand extremely high temperatures and is easy to process, and can be prepared into molybdenum boats—a high-temperature-resistant container that is widely used in vacuum furnaces and glass melting furnaces.It is less expensive and has a simpler construction than molybdenum crucibles. The molybdenum boats produced by Fenghua Qisheng have excellent dimensional stability, corrosion resistance and creep resistance, and have the advantages of long service life and not easy to deform. Boats made of molybdenum-lanthanum are also available with improved ductility and creep resistance. The molybdenum boat can avoid premature embrittlement or fracture by doping a tiny amount of lanthanum oxide (0.3%–0.7%) into pure molybdenum. This method has a more stable microstructure and greater recrystallization temperature.
